ReferNet is a network of institutions created by CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) in 2002. The aim of the network is to monitor and provide information on national vocational education and training (VET) systems and policies in the EU Member States, Iceland and Norway, in particular:

  • to gather information on VET’s role, purpose, governance and structure,
  • to monitor developments and trends in VET policies in Member States,
  • to conduct in-depth analyses of how each country is progressing in its implementation of common European policy objectives.

ReferNet also supports CEDEFOP in promoting information on VET in participating countries.

Currently there are 30 Partner organizations in the network from all EU Member States, Iceland and Norway. The Educational Research Institute (IBE) is the ReferNet partner in Poland since 2016.

More information on ReferNet activities is available in the brochure ReferNet. Quick guide 2016-2019.
